idk if this answers ur question but if the piercing keeps getting irritated, touched, slept on, incorrect jewelry size, not washed, etc. during its healing, it undoes a lot of the healing your body has done and takes longer to heal. we know mc touches it, so he probably is fucking up the scab around the piercing and slowing down the healing process. and, thus, he still bleeds even though its been like six months
In my personal experience, a piercing that won’t heal can also be caused by incorrect metal. A lot of people are allergic to typical body jewelry metals and don’t realize it, which can continue irritation and delay healing.

I think it's supposed to mean that the love he feels can only ever be fulfilled by the teacher (the teacher made the piercing) and he will only ever feel this way for him ( by the wound will continuously be healing). IDK if that makes sense.
