Ohhh so when they awaken they get whitish blonde hair? Does that mean that Hima hasn't fully awakened yet?

For everyone confused, it’s actually really simple:

Imagine Hunger Games with different districts. Hima (real name: Shin Hwajin) was originally from the Capital where life is better for most people, except for him it wasn’t because he lived in the poor area called the Low Zone. Since he was from the Low Zone, he and his twin brother ended up in the military unit made up of Espers and Guides to get a better life. Than, on the other hand, is from a small group or community called the Library that lives outside the Capital. Their weather and seasons are unpredictable so it’s not easy to survive, and they’re treated like second class citizens by the Capital which causes the animosity.

The first chapter is the present where Hima is a fully awakened and powerful Esper and Than is an awakened Guide. Than seems unaware that it’s the same Hima he knew from the past so they're not exactly on good terms. We still don’t know what exactly happened that led to that, but the next and current chapters take us five years into the past.

Start of flashback:

Hima’s twin brother, who was a Guide, got "killed" by other Espers from their team. Hima killed them as revenge and planned to jump to his death after. He had no idea how powerful he was because he was always unconscious whenever his power showed its full potential. He survived the fall and was found by Than and the Library.

Hima has amnesia from the fall and his personality changed drastically. He became soft and meek, similar to his brother.

Than names him Hima, brings him into the Library, and slowly starts falling in love with him.

Hima still doesn’t remember everything, but he remembers some bits and pieces about the Capital. He also unconsciously uses his powers as an esper that can control nature.

In the latest chapter, it shows that his twin brother is actually alive and Hima is being hunted by authorities for killing his squad. It also confirms that only his brother knew about his real powers and feared him for it. Twin brother also turns out to be sleeping with an old higher up (the father of their friend who was a bastard child from his father’s affair with someone from the Low Zone). This was also the same friend who convinced him and Hima to join the squad. He might have a bigger role in the future chapters.

We still don’t know what exactly happened that leads to chapter 1, the present, but it’s slowly being revealed through the flashbacks.
