UGHHH this slow burn is going to kill me (in a good way) !! i love love the way they tackle and express/narrate their feelings… it’s like mature but still has that “youth” feeling (with the hesitation and second-guessing and the impulsiveness also), which i think is so fitting given that these are two boys in high school who are grappling with the complexities of love and relationships.
honestly when we think about how long it took to get here in real-time (as in the years it’s been uploading) it certainly FEELS slow-burn, but when i think of the story rationally, i think their pace is still pretty normal, especially with all the factors in the story like their academics, grade difference, schedules, the fact that this is their first serious AND queer romance, and that hirano didn’t even think of kagi-kun romantically.
i literally got whiplash when i properly realized that this is only 30 chapters still it feels like i’ve been reading forever which makes me think the story is long, but it really isn’t.
