I love how the story uses jihoon as a foil to our mc, it's hinted that he is living a similar life to the mcs former life as beethoven (i.e. being forced to become a piano prodigy). It's meant to emphasize how much the mcs life has changed. It feels like the story is showing how a new modern genuine prodigy will be made (I feel like the mc doesn't count). I really hope through this story we see the rise in jihoon as a great pianist who defied the odds of being average and social expectations. Also the writing is pretty good at making jihoons dad see like shit like when I think the dad is gonna have a growing moment and be nice he just says some cruel shit. I hope his dad realizes what he's doing to his son.
