Men here sure are creepy but that creepiness is more of a horror not what you are implying, it feels like that they are trapped in this village themselves and coz they weren't able to get him pregnant got tied down to the village becoming this old, feels like this priest is not human. No, it’s fine for anyone to make assumptions. I didn’t say it was confirmed or anything, so I’m not sure why this is a surprising thing. The creepiness can be horror and horror involves grooming and more. Grooming is a scary thing, not just violence and blood.
The men are obviously creepy. And the whole ritual itself is weird and disgusting, that is not an opinion but factual. I already explained how I got my assumption, the way the bottom seems so used to this as if he has served other men already. He is part of the village and obviously has not stepped into the city or anywhere outside, leading to my thought of this being a weird cultural thing involving grooming.

Because I know what grooming is and how scary it is that's why I said you're getting to a very negative conclusion. Whatever I wrote, I knew it well as to what I'm writing I don't need to reread it, every yaoi is different some with very bizarre plot far from any thought and reason, there's nothing "sane" in what you're reading in the first place, it's fiction which you're taking way too seriously also I'm not saying that you can't make assumptions all I'm saying is that what you assumed isn't quite what the plot of this story implies. Everything about it right now is negative so I came up with the assumption. The grooming as in he could’ve been raised to offer his body to get pregnant, not for his own sake but for the village from a young age, and he still looks like a young adult at this time. So I assumed the men also raped him.
Implications are interpreted differently. I just interpreted this and I’m not saying it’s factual. It’s just, again, an assumption. Not the truth of course
Hopefully I’m wrong because I hate the trope of bottoms having to sell themselves or “offer” in order for the others benefit. Maybe those old men are just his neighbors but it just stands out to me how it’s ONLY men there and not a woman or motherly figure in sight…but like you said the priest doesn’t seem to be human, could definitely be someone who manipulated the villagers with his power(?). 1. So from my understanding, the ML has a twin brother named Shinji. And the MC also has a twin named Miwa. Second couple is Shinji and Miwa. And I love the ML’s personality, he is so carefree and cool. It seems he is the son of a superintendent general so he is generally more carefree.
2. The evil lady said the role of the MC’s mother is passed down to the MC, what is the lore? What purpose does him having sex serve? Does it play a role in the man’s collapsing? Like the MC has sex with them first, then that eye covered guy stares into them to kill them? Maybe not, separate stuff I guess. (I KNOW NOW—ish)
3. The evil lady ordered the eye covered guy (Miwa) to stare into the eyes of Shinji (twin brother of ML). Shinji could not move at first but then Miwa started bleeding. How come the evil lady and other evil members of this ‘cult’ bled from mouth and nose too? But Shinji didn’t. (As I read on and make edit while typing this long reply, I find out that perhaps Miwa didn’t want to harm Shinji, and that’s why the power backfired on him for his heart didn’t want to, and others who were wanting to harm Shinji. That’s why the evil lady had bleeding.)
4. How come MC said the twins (ML and his brother) can take Miwa away, but he won’t go? Is it because he feels like he has the duty to go through with this ‘cult’ as the eldest and due to his mother’s passing of role onto him? (As I read on and make edit while typing this long reply, it seems there are implications that MC wants to actually murder someone, and ML comforts him)
5. Poor MC. He confirms (ch 5) that he has never felt any pleasure, not even ‘normal’ biological/physical sexual pleasure. So his parents Munakata Kouichi (dad) and Urabe Shizuka (mom) met after Shizuka ran away, then had Miwa and Yoshiomi (MC). Parents were not legally married. The mom suddenly disappeared with the two babies Miwa and MC. The dad was obviously devastated but the case went cold and treated as runaway. So Miwa took on the role of an ‘killer’ using his supernatural eyes and Yoshiomi as the ‘head/impurity remover’, following his mom’s role. Having sex with others will remove the impurities from his body after he absorbs the impurities of others. That is why twins are celebrated in the village.
6. As I read on, I find out that Miwa had been asked by MC to leave several times but Miwa was severely manipulated, thinking doing it one more time will help MC leave easily, one more…just one more person. Miwa truly believed he was helping MC. The evil lady manipulated him into thinking MC will be happy and that their mother will come back, their family. If he could lock up a hundred, everyone will be reunited. But it was a lie, a heartless lie and pretentious promise.
And MC was also severely manipulated because the evil lady told HIM TOO, that if he stops the ritual—he will just harm Miwa and turn his power into a curse. That only HE can help Miwa, that’s why MC called Miwa a nuisance. Both brothers were doing it for each other’s sake, unwillingly and scared but willingly at heart for the sake of each other.
Turns out his dad had visited, asking to run away, the three of them: Yoshiomi (MC), Miwa, and dad himself. Unfortunately…it was too late because of the evil lady Satoe. I also have a common theory that the evil lady tied MC and his brother to the ritual, because of the mother, her sister who promised her that they will always be together. By bloodline. Of course it’s also due to passing the role stuff and worshipping some god named Sadome, a pair of twin sisters. I love the Robin wanting to perhaps fly away instead of returning question- theory by Miwa (ch 9).
Also, the evil lady dislikes how MC looks so much like his father. Is that why he was given the role of removing impurities by humiliating himself, versus Miwa who was basically locked in a cage, unable to fly like the Robin? Perhaps the evil lady thought Miwa looked the most like her older sister/Shizuka, and didn’t want to put him in the humiliating role.
And the evil lady admits the role MC is in (intercourse) is a ‘consequence’, and asks why he hates it now. So she does see it as something negative, makes my theory plausible. Rather than any forced intercourse, it seems he just got beat up (ch 9).
I heard there are only 12 chapters total. I hope there will be another volume to make the story have a better in depth conclusion, some extras about their life together for first and second couple. I shall relish in the knowledge that the ritual will succumb, and that evil lady dies.

What the hell? Oh god, don’t tell me those old weird men “practiced” loosening the bottom up and grooming him to grow up this way. It seems this way since the author focused on how creepy the men were, and not a woman in sight at the dinner. This is just…disgusting.
I really hope not. But with how used to it the bottom seems, and nonchalant about spreading his legs for a stranger, he might have been raped and just forced by those men in village to ‘prepare’ for the ‘man’. I pray not.
