i like how this is portrayed and had a different perspective from what i usually read. the plot twist in end is so good, made me gasp quite a lot although i expected that something like that would happen.

kinda hated lizzie when she wanted to protect ludwig, i get that she wanted ludwig to live freely out of misery but ludwig just doesn't get it from the trauma he received. and the fact she was supposed to be a "perfect empress" from their first timeline but has been making decisions irrationally which had put the imperial family in danger seriously made my nerve pop off. but i like the way she didn't put up with the talk about "i can't kill him" talk when she killed duke visounti, the way she took 'revenge' is good although she moved a bit slow in my opinion but i guess it's for the plot.

leon kind of pissed me off too when he was making decisions for lizzie without asking her if she really wanted it. but i kinda like how atoned from his sins, especially with the big reveal about how it wasn't the first time he returned back in time. same goes with how i criticized lizzie, although he lost his memories from the past turns or his first timeline, his decision-makings are fucking diabolical at giving me a headache. the lack of communication and his need and want on making lizzie happy without asking her if it's something that makes her happy. besides that, he used to be an emperor, he basically has an idea of how he should decide things, but damn, he kinda stupid in his own way.

about mimir, the way she wanted lizzie to be happy and make leon go through his own despair was kinda stupid in a sense. if she really wanted lizzie to be happy, why did mimir make lizzie go through all that torture. i mean i kinda get it for leon to regret but making him forget every after turn was kinda stupid. if i wanted leon to go through multiple turns of utter misery, i wouldn't try to remove his memories but give him unending torture of being unloved by the person he wanted to love. but okay, for the plot i guess.

there were still parts where it lacked depth or it just had a plot hole, like how bailey suddenly disappeared from the plot when the rebellion happened or the relationship between the three: beatrice, the black haired girl that i forgot the name of and ludwig. or the reason behind why duke viscounti wanted to correct the history of the imperial family, it feels like there should've been more to it but wasn't explained. and also, there were also some parts that i felt like they skipped.

overall, it's still good. having read this through leon's perspective is refreshing from the usual "i regressed back in time to change my fate from my husband" tropes that i get from romance manhwas these days. the plot twist was kind of predictable, especially when they revealed mimir for the first time as a child and the first appearance of the witch of the clock tower, i just knew it was her. the relationship between the leon's parents were also very intriguing, it makes me want to read their story too if it had one. i also like the bond between their family, not gonna lie, i thought their relationship between son and father would be strained but turns out it wasn't, so it's good in my part. the side characters are also written quite well, not as good as i'm used to but still good. i really liked the ending, how they both went in together when mimir turned back the time again, kinda wished they showed how they both went through it but i also think it's good enough to just show a small snippet of their family.
