I can somehow deal with consent issues when it's a dark themed/ explicitly problematic story because it's bascially a genre at this point (eg painter of the night) and it comes with its own warning that lets people know not to go near it if they don't want that kind of bs in their stories. But I really fucking hate when they're trying to pass this of as some sort of sweet/ touching story that just has a damn rape scene that is never adressed and is completely glossed over as if it was nothing. And Taichi has the nerve to just go 'sorry' and 'its happening again' as if them not working out is something that can't be helped bc of chemistry and not as a direct consequence of him being a fucking asshole. I don't give a shit about your abandonement and mommy issues, stop progecting your insecurities on Nao. What do you think that just bc the person you've always known is outgoing is interacting with other people he'll start going around fucking every other person?? And then he's always blowing up over it without even communicating the problem. He's self-centered, bad-tempered, entitled and just takes and takes from Nao without ever giving back. And he's got literally no other personality traits other than being a piece of shit. Nothing compelling to balance it out at all. Your partner explicitly told you what he didn't want to do and you d=completely disregarded that to take out your frustration on him and then assaulted him, sexually and physically because he wouldn't do as you said.
