The part where y’all got mad for Nanmu for sleeping with Jeolho just shows y’all are not really ready for this type of heavy complicated plot.
Y’all need to understand their trauma, experience and circumstance. Nanmu has abandonment issue if you truly comprehend the story, and he has a lot of insecurities towards his body and himself, and HE KEEP SAYING THAT A LOT OF TIMES. That’s why he’s always contradicting himself, one foot in and one foot out.
Let me remind you that the two times it shows Nanmu sleeping with Jeolho outside punishment is because of Pilgyun. The first one because he’s in denial, scared to accept his feelings and gaslighting himself that Pilgyun deserves better and needs to have a normal life. This is where his first insecurity strikes, always asking why does Pilgyun like him when he’s used, manwhore, etc. He slept with Jeolho to get it off his mind, but still at the end, he can only feel pleasure when he thought of Pilgyun which leave a bitter taste in Jeolho’s mouth cause he’s aware of it.
The second time is when Pilgyun left, which broke him apart. He was completely out of it, he doesn’t know what to do and he lost the will to live. Plus the dream made it worst, he panicked and got hit by anxiety, thinking he was abandoned cause he’s disgusting and such. His insecurity strikes again. Keep in mind he’s completely out of it and just stick to the closest comfort he can get and that’s why he slept with Jeolho. And he did it still with Pilgyun in his mind. And again, Jeolho knows it too but still used it to his advantage which he admitted. He took advantage of Nanmu’s weak state, and said he can let himself be used by Nanmu everytime.
Also, Jeolho actually picked up the call as stated in the chapter where they talked in the hospital. He did it so Pilgyun will get mad in hopes to finish his plan quickly before Nanmu loses it all since his will to live is slowly fading away.
