I really wanna know why it took the professor AGES to track down her sister's descendant, even if the sister never disclosed she had a child, one would guess such demonic power would be detected... Maybe it's dormant for half-humans? Like a recessive gene? And it just so happened the adoptive daughter had awakened it... idk maybe more fox blood got mixed in over the years and then BOOM 9 tailed fox in the form of a teenager.
iirc her backstory is also full of misfortune, just like the taoist girl. now I need to be shown them numbers because there is a gap of a few (?) centuries (?) in there between her sister passing and Su finding her orphaned great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great niece... did many descendants of this rare and powerful fox clan lived unchecked for many years?????? or did the two sisters (or at least the eldest) keep tabs on all of them and this girl is the first one in the lineage that got orphaned?
