I honestly interpret like Sam-myeong is still in denial- He keeps saying his child is "lost" and he has to find her but a child her age (Under 10) can't posibly survive on her own, but it also confuses me that the ML orders to find her and kill her, I guess he just believes Sam-myeong, lol.
Unless the author pulls out a move and the daughter somehow is alive and is the only motive for Sam-myeong to live, buuut we don't know that yet

I think you're getting confused with another story.
It was never showed that CG killed his wife or had anything to do with Sam-myeong's daughter death/disappearance.
Even CG ordered her to be found and killed, so he doesn't know where she is
