FL ain't dumb

I've seen a lot of people calling mc dumb here and bato but tbh her ignorance makes a lot of sense. I haven't finished yet but her logic so far is actually pretty smart. You have to consider that she doesn't have the omniscient perspective that we do. This girl thinks she's in a romance fantasy story because it's probably all she read.

Suddenly transmigrating into a european setting as a teenage girl of a noble family and having a sexy fiance fits all the tropes of RoFan. And where I'm at right now the only things that she has seen outwardly problematic were her attempted poisoning and her stepmother being taken away for being accused of poisoning her. Which are both stereotypical situations that also happen in RoFan. Of course she's not going to think she's in a horror story, she hasn't been exposed to the cosmic stuff, nor has there been anything to indicate to her that there are other shady stuff going on aside from the typical politics in RoFan.

All of her crazy conclusions to what may be going on are from her limited exposure to the supernatural or strange occurrences she sees. Like why would she think that there are humans buried from under her house? Or that the gardener is an eldritch horror when to her he just seems like some edgy emo kid.

The only thing I feel like she's kind of dumb for is to have a lot of trust in Mr. Moore, her fiance. But even that makes sense. The average ml in these stories usually are reliable men who always save the FL in some shape or form and are also the only ones who the FLs fully trust. So obviously she's going to trust him when the only other present characters are the step family that bully the FLs in the run of the mill otome isekai.

To me, she's more of a tired college student who's excited to be transmigrated to a world that matches the escapism stories she reads and caters to her every want and need, and the ignorance she has is built from the stories she's read because it's the only thing that fits the narrative she's placed in.
