Yup you got it ლ(´ڡ`ლ) ...but jeez, he thought it was over, he may as well explain himself #－.－) as you say his communication sucks
Trust me when I say this - IRL men aren't that far off. I've heard friends(male) tell me years later that they were one moment, one question, one response away from making "us" a reality but shut up because instead of clarifying their misunderstanding, they preferred to just shut up and wallow in that misunderstanding -_-
So here's my interpretation. Due to his playboy history, she obviously thought that the women he hooks up with he doesn't really bother keeping in his life and in turn doesn't really respect & is okay to hook around because their position is temporary.
Now she thinks she's different from these women since their friendship of 10 years, she believes that if she lets the sex take the reigns she will become one of these many women that he'll take his fill of her & abandon her. Hence her crashout because he tried kissing her again, SHE NOW KNOWS she's not special but another PLAYTHING, another number in his long history of whoring around.
He of course doesn't feel this way specifically towards her, but like all men, sucks at communicating.
