I know the bottom is supposed to be a Virgin but why is he acting clueless and stright up dumb.
I think the writer confused Virginity for being Naive , pure and clueless. But by no means is there a vigin at 23 who doesn't know what sex is.

As u can tell he was severely coddled. 2 things can be true at once, he can be a virgin and be naive. I don't really like him not even knowing the basis of sex, but on the other hand, they've already portrayed him as just an innocent young man. So idrk.

Actually, it's the Top. The reason is that from where the MC is from, it is utmost important to be a virgin for both men and women until marriage, but after that, it's fair game. It is the complete opposite of the ML culture. MC has been raised like a flower in a greenhouse, without any expectations, and he is not 23. Just come of age and if you look at that it should be 18-20 at most.

I like to think of it the same way Bridgerton portrays its young ladies. They’re heavily sheltered, kept “pure,” and intentionally left ignorant about sex until marriage. In that kind of society, a woman’s sexual knowledge is tied directly to propriety and her role in producing heirs. I’m like certain the author borrowed inspiration from that kind of historical dynamic and applied it to Michele’s character. I personally think his ignorance fits perfectly with the cultural rules he was raised under. He mentioned that in his culture, both parties are expected to remain “pure” until marriage (or something like that), so it makes sense that he would know little to nothing about sex. That’s also why he has such intense culture shock with Ain. From Michele’s perspective, he’s only supposed to have sex with his husband, while Ain comes from a culture where premarital sex isn’t a big deal at all. So Michele is just reacting exactly the way someone from his background realistically would. Also, we have to remember that this story isn’t set in the modern day. sex isn’t something openly discussed the way it is now.
