I think its the fact that theres a big gap in their abilities ( s rank esper and I believe b rank guide) as well as the top being way too powerful that theres more instability.

I don’t understand the complication of the imprint/ bond in this esper/guideverse in other stories whenever that happens the guiding actually gets stronger and there’s no consequences other than that they can’t receive guiding from anyone else but here it actually bad for MC to the point where he had to be hospitalized and they’re desperate to break the bond???
