Wish there were more trigger warnings because holy fuck. Weirdly enough it was the mental health stuff that triggered me really badly, but the graphic assault, rape, substance abuse, severe poverty, etc. Just holy hell so much I was not mentally prepared for.
I agree with a lot of people that the main character is annoying as hell and really has no reason to be. I think the problem is the author bit off more than they could chew, wanted to have complex characters with a complex storyline, but ended up focusing on the storyline instead. If there were more backstory for Jiwook behaving the way he did it might have been a little less annoying. The revenge was SO satisfying and cathartic, and I loved seeing Jiwook get treatment and come to terms with his mental health, although I dislike the "thanks I'm cured" that happened after but idk it's progress. It was definitely interesting and worth the read.
