Is pearlboy worth reading? I let it marinate for a few years but scared to read it because...

It’s been a while since I finished reading pearl boy but I think I lowkey regretted reading it cuz some of the scenes were too extreme for me (and I regularly read some pretty dark stuff), in particular some scenes towards the end that were basically torture revenge on the antagonists. The main couple and plot weren’t enjoyable enough to make up for it and the uke was almost stereotypical “in debt sad helpless” from what I remember. Haven’t read ignite the dawn, letting it marinate more chapters

Don't its js gang rape and angst it takes like 90+ chapters for the main couple to be happy. The side stories aren't worth it either
