I believe that rapists should feel the pain of their victims, cause majority of them don't even feel remorse, but that's a personal vendetta of mine. However I do agree that what's done to jiwook is too much and juyeon isn't fully out for revenge, there's a part of him that's really fucked up and sadistic thats no longer just for revenge.
Haven't finished the novel, but yea from what I've read so far I feel like the author made the whole thing fucked up on both sides but more so with jiwook cause his torture is happening in the present the readers are made to pity him even knowing the backstory later on.
Yeah I think karma is good but because of uke's amnesia it kinda negates the impact of punishment..? Like this is the thing that bothers me cuz sometimes after amnesia people develop whole new personalities until the forgotten one resurface with their memories. And I can't ignore the nagging feeling that the author just made uke's backstory like that so the seme's actions are justified and is 'not like other bl stories'
You people who say Kwon Jiwook deserved all the rape and torture just because he is a rapist disgust me so much. This logic doesn't make sense at all. If you agree that rape is a solution to punish a rapist, then you're sick in the head and are an idiot. What about the other rapists who raped Kwon Jiwook then? And, also other people raped Park Juyeon when they were young. But sure Kwon Jiwook is the only one who got punished. Park Juyeon is a serial rapist btw.
To those who have read the novel and still think this whole shit is justifiable, do you even know media literacy? If you have read the novel, it's heavily implied that what Park Juyeon did was wrong on so many levels and that the reason for the so-called revenge is not merely revenge but his obsession with Kwon Jiwook, as well as the shame of still being in love with your rapist.
I'm not excusing Kwon Jiwook but he literally forgot about everything after the accident. Logically, he might feel wronged since he didn't remember a thing at all.
Even though the rape scenes were written so explicitly and romanticised somewhat, the writer also depicts how ridiculous this whole revenge was. I don't even care about this manhwa anymore but the comments saying shit pissed me off so here I am again.
