I mean there is definitely regret and tears and everything you'd want in a story arc like this.. I agree with others that it just doesn't feel satisfying, but I don't think it was meant to. The backstory is gripping, but also really horrific to the point that nothing would make up for it and i think, like sejin, the reader isn't meant to feel satisfied about the revenge. There's a LOT of build up to what you think is the regret part, which is there, but the actual focal point ends up being the strength and growth of the MC and the power he gets over his own life. It's pretty interesting and I understand and resonate a lot with the MC so its been a great read for me, but can def get why others would struggle to enjoy it!
