***NOVEL SPOILERS AHEAD

I usually like to turn the critical part of my brain off when reading works that rely heavily on a particular trope (omegaverse with power imbalance for this one) because these are fictional characters and not real people, and I do understand that the ML's "yearning and obsession" for the MC later on in the story can be satisfying to some, but man, is it hard for me to like the ML.

Being sweet and caring only to one person (ShuShu) while being an insensitive ass to others (MC) is concerning because how you treat people who have "no use" to you is quite telling of your character. Even before the chapter where ShuShu is introduced, MC keeps saying ML is harsh/cold only towards him but playful with the others in Phantom. Like, being civil is also an option, ML, in case you didn't know. No need to be hissy to strangers especially if they've done nothing to earn such treatment from you.

Anyway! The part where ShuShu arrived and the ML was so caring of him to the point he harshly told MC to go out of the room to make ShuShu more comfortable didn't really bother me. At least the ML realized his mistake and apologized for it later on. What made me uncomfortable was when ML found out about MC's painting/s. I wish he could have treated MC with respect even before finding out how talented he actually is but oh well...
