I read a bit ahead in the novel so I know how like conner or whatever the elder bro's name is... like when he starts feeling guilty after reading olivia's diaries... and after reading this chapter and him saying that "that's what I wanted" like how are they gonna show his guilt?? Cuz like even jade case of him "not knowing people treated her like shit even though he basically bullied her" I could say he was in the military and didn't know the full extent of her mistreatment (which is also total bs cuz again he literally bullied her her whole life) but the elder bro??
