I’m not mad at it, but I think all JK had to do to continue his redemption arc- beyond him focus KD’s pleasure-would be to ask “do you not want this? Are you OK with this? I won’t do anything you won’t want to do.” That along with him saying that he was holding back for KD would’ve gone a long way I think. Kind of like a mix of the red redemption arc and the chapter where he was drunk and they had sex.
