I also was half expecting JK to NOT have sex before his match to "prove" he's over the jinx, but it's not quite that simple especially for an athlete with a habit, a ritual and one track mind. It's like you're asking a person taking a college entrance exam to not do their ritual of praying/putting on a charm to get over their nerves. It's unrealistic to think it's so simple to not do something that's a ritual for people.
