No. If these are the narrative were going along, then its no different with what happened in the past coz back then, Dan ALSO agreed and Dan was ALSO into it. JK saying hes holding back because Dan wasnt "up for that snuff" was a disservice to his redemption. its almost saying he does it out of conscience rather than his feelings for Dan. I might be outstretching, but I really thought he's going to fight the urge of his Jinx for Dan OR Dan will be the one to initiate it. but alas, nothing changed.
