I know we have all been burned before with unresolved character arcs and lackluster writing but we really gotta start having trust in the process again. Main characters should not always be likable and perfect from the beginning. Characters don’t need to stay in permanent states of “mature” or “immoral” or “good”. Stories where characters don’t change at all are boring. Victor thus far has proven to be shallow, selfish, insensitive, emotionally immature and morally questionable. But he’s also super interesting! He’s a person who has been stuck in their ways and not really challenged on his way of thinking. The story is him finally being challenged. We are already seeing how his view of love and attraction is changing (previously being a serial monogamist and only attracted to one look of person). I think next season will be really focused on his emotional growth and Heart (who is the biggest challenge to Victor’s way of thinking). People don’t change overnight!
