I avoided this manhwa like the plague because of the low ratings but it's surprisingly so well written?? I'm surprised how the author made this recycled shitty plot into something interesting
The MC Jeonghan is a stuck up piece of shit and he literally acknowledges it too, definitely does not excuse his actions but it was so refreshing how he clearly had boundaries even though he was an asshole and he would always own up to his mistakes(This part made my jaw drop lmfao I'm so used to asshole tops refusing to own up to their mistakes before their redemption arc The bar is low). He was still so fucking annoying but his slow character growth and his internal monologue was so good wow he is definitely so much more than the generic shitty top who does a 360 in 2 chaps and goes on a whole chasing arc that makes 0 sense.
And Iljo oh boy at first I just felt pity and annoyance towards him because he was so fucking pathetic leeching on some asshole like bro you're gay, poor and spineless?? Pick a struggle dude but he got less annoying the more I read. I don't know how to explain it but he definitely wasn't a pushover, sure he's hopelessly all over someone who intially gave 0 fucks about him (or anyone else as a matter of fact) but at the same time he'd always stand his ground, speak his mind and he was really quick to pick up on cues. Maybe it's because of his upbringing but he was pretty realistic with his dialogues too, just not the most rational person in the first half of the manhwa when it came to his feelings for Jeonghan.
I definitely wouldn't enjoy this as much if it was in Iljo's pov tho, he suffered so much
