Or he was adopted, but I agree w that the father seems to care a lot more than the mother. Oddly enough, he seems to be the only one with an outfit that stands out from the rest of them too.

mc, if not that then he’ll collapse, ml might try to help, either in front of his family, which might arouse suspicion if they knew about the rumours… or not.
Yeah I also thought adoption may be possible, but the dynamic feels strange. I’d be more inclined to believe it was adoption if he was the oldest.
1. I’m going to venture as to say that blonde ML didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth. From that flashback where he came home as a kid and the house was inundated, to the dynamics with his brother and parents, my best guess is that’s not his biological mother. It’s all supposition of course, but there’s no way the mother to a youngest son would be that flippant about him being too busy to visit home or not complain about him leaving home as soon as he graduated from high school. His father seems to be the one who truly cares about that. So ML probably grew up poor with his mother until she died or until his father showed up. I could be completely wrong, but that’s typically how those stories go and I felt it might be the case from what I’ve seen so far.
2. When his brother said “one of your male whores” I thought it was fk’d up until I remembered ML actually does leave money behind after sleeping with whoever he sleeps with. So it’s ironically very accurate. I still can’t understand anyone who takes the money and then gets pissed off like their relationship was anything special. The fact that he actually tried to make shxt messy for him because ML didn’t magically have feelings for him is pathetic.
3. Lowkey irritated with MC’s teacher. If she really meant to help MC so he can give a good impression and maybe have a job later, then why wasn’t he part of the initial setup team? She only sneaked that in there when she felt he might turn her down because he’s so fkng busy. I hope MC learns to actually prioritize what’s important and rest when he needs to. I’m stressed just watching him work so hard, to the detriment of his own health.
