The two of them are pushing each other's limits on a journey to rock bottom.

Both have feelings they don't even recognize, much less dare to admit.

I feel that a good part of the story will unfold without either of them admitting or believing in each other's feelings.
Something will trigger, perhaps, the recognition of these feelings.
I have a hunch it's Yuta's "stepson."
Until then, we'll have a very bitter pill to swallow.
