What in the pain was this chapter ... Probably one of my favorites ....
Lots was said ... Like you said, Hayden hugged tightly Brett yet begged him to go back to LA. He told him it hurts him to see Brett hurting himself and calling it a price to pay. He also talked about the memories Brett keeps talking about, how he's not holding onto that fake gaze, that he felt so pathetic that he ran away, he asked him to throw those memories, like he did.
About the bonding, he told him, he didn't break it because it doesn't harm anyone else but if it becomes something lingering to you, I will erase it, so please leave...
The whole chapter was pain, from the kiss moment, when Brett said if Hayden wants to go on a date with other people he'd accept it, Hayden feeling suffocated in his own space with Brett's gift ...

I think he needs this wake up call.
It’s not that he doesn’t like Hayden, but more the he hasn’t recognized those feelings since he’s never known what they look like so he does what he thinks he has to to show affection but it’s not “true” affection.
Are there better ways of approaching their very complicated relationship? Yeah, but ultimately Brett is going to have to learn how to properly love someone and it has nothing to do with material things (like he’s been taught by his dad).

This whole chapter was so bittersweet af my tears couldn't stop when brett said about other people involving I m like bro no don't say , Hayden on the other hand is getting hurt for rejecting brett in harsh way possible brett can't understand these emotions these feelings but how he will he has no one to make him understand that and Hayden has brush his hand off making brett understand them in this whole situation Hayden is more prone to feel hurt emotionally due to bonding since it's one sided as well but brett he is feeling like hd can't let Hayden slip away from his hand ? But gettynh drunk and holding brett by neck feels like he regret his he treats brett so he asked him to leave new york and go back to LA i wonder what brett will do now? Is he gonna take Hayden drunk talk as unnecessary rubbish of will take it seriously
After date ended brett wanted Hayden to put him under his coat like he did back in LA perfect timing snowfall and all but Hayden told brett "stop it go home date has ended" brett stand for while said "i know what I did what my action done but I also feel bad I m waiting here my resentment to reach you I know the kind of face you made back then it's different today, i would never go to this stupid date with any other person you even kept the imprinting I know you have feelings for me" and Hayden left , brett in his house watching Hayden historical drama full of romance, and Hayden at home regretting his behaviour while boxes brett send were still there , then he drunk himself to whiskey and reach brett house , brett told Hayden "you drank whiskey of course it's me who taught you how to drink" Hayden cling to brett and brett told Hayden "don't do it while you are drunk you won't remember it next day" Hayden told brett "stop it I can't keep rejecting you with harsh words it hurts me you said I kept the imprinting i keep it cuz it doesn't harm others it's only me so please go back to LA" I guess brett is here for Hayden
** I could be wrong at last part cuz may be Hayden is asking brett to leave or take him with him. I actually feel bad for both of them.
