And to those saying pedo shits- First of all I bet you're new to this author because all of BWAT's have been peak since the start. The Author looks at the bigger picture and practice different plots and genres to bring out the best, exploring different genres, plots, stories and so on. So far, the author has never served us a toxic, red/black flag Seme/ Uke or toxic Stories nor have they ever dissapointed us.
Considering the setting of this story, it takes place in the historical time where age gaps are pretty much common when they form an arrange marriage or alliance between two families (as well as child marriage/engagement). AND, the first chapter literally showed us and we clearly saw/read that the Prince called the Duke, "my bride" NOT "my wife" which basically means they haven't gotten married yet and they're marriage is still in process and haven't taken place.
Now back to what I think and guess is that, BWAT always tends to make the greeness Semes who loves their partner from the bottom of their heart if it's love and affection at first sight. This particular author always make our standard higher by giving us the Amazon forest partner which we can never find in real unless we search the whole world. What I can see from the first chapter itself is that, when the Seme was a kid, he must have sworn that whoever were to be his bride will be his partner till the end nomatter what or how they look like. It's not considered as innocence or being naive but rather a dedication to swear that only 1 person can hold his heart untill death do them apart but even death won't stop them from being together. Now back to the scene where they faced each other after 14 years. During their first meeting they might have gotten closer considering how they will be marrying in the future and as we can see that both of them are dedicated to what they do and will always perform their duty witout fail. They waited for each other and dedicated their hearts to one another.
From what I see through this is that it's not at all Pedo, considering how the story does not portray any romantic or sexual content while the prince is still a child. It is still just a political/historical arranged-marriage setup. And they met after 14 years and are still NOT MARRIED YET.
