From the beginning of the chapter we see that the Prince(ML) calls the Duke(MC), "my bride" which basically means they're not yet married. Then going on we find that they are metting each other only after 14years (the were living seperately) and they are both very pleased to met each other again and are happy and the MC is touched because he thought that the Prince was no more. Then as we scroll down, we find that when they had a metting with each other for the 1st time to get to know each other as they are to be in an arrange married , as the MC came out of the carriage he finds that the Prince, his fiance is actually a child and was taken aback a lil bit because he didn't and had never expected that. The MC thought that the Prince was an adult when the marriage alliance discussion with the king took place but since he was a dedicated individual he didn't mind it for the sake of his country.
