As this chasing arc is so painful to watch but by re reading this back, it is not Seo Juheon’s false to disappear like that. Especially, both of them have to talk it out their feelings whatever happens. Dohu should have apologised ASAP when Juheon knew that. But irl, it’s always like that.Always the miscommunication & the slightest bad words & small behaviours which make the relationship hurts worse.

That only works if Dohu were a normal person, which he isn't. The point of this story, which so many people seem to have missed, is that both characters have deep traumatic issues. There are those who blamed Dohu because Dohu didn't understand what he did wrong. Then there are those who blamed Juheon because Juheon is overreacting. When would it ever get to people that you should never expect either of them to have normal people reaction.

On top of that, I personally think the real issue here was never about Dohu hiding the truth or how Juheon handled it after knowing the truth. So long as both of them still have their trauma unresolved, their relationship is doomed to failure. Personally, the real issue here is how Dohu never believes their relationship could last. He was constantly told that nobody could ever stand someone like him. In contrast, Juheon's issue is that he is afraid Dohu would abandon him if one day Dohu doesn't see any value in him. In truth, the whole thing about Dohu not telling the truth is merely a very small issue that exposes a much larger problem in their relationship. Saying sorry would not solve the problem.

I fully agree that both of them were hurt and both made mistakes, but I can't say Juheon is completely faultless on how he diappeared and I really can’t get behind the idea that Juheon is “right” to keep punishing Dohu forever.

Yes, Dohu messed up first , absolutely. He should have apologized clearly in that moment. Even if Dohu apologized, Juheon would have not believed him, so its a lose-lose situation.
But Juheon made a choice, too. He left without a word, disappeared, dropped everything, and didn’t even try to understand or resolve it, and Ik there were certain circumstances and he was threatened. His choice to leave was to run away from his feelings and abandon everything, even Dohu. Dohu who stayed and felt the weight of his decision and regret for four years guilty him until Juheon reappeared.

And now, four years later, he’s still holding the same wound over Dohu’s head like a weapon. At some point, pain stops being a reason and becomes an excuse.

4 years of complete avoidance is not equal to one moment of poor communication.

If this happened over a few months? Even one year? I would say yes , give him space.
But four? That’s a long time to keep someone in emotional limbo, especially someone who clearly never stopped loving him and has suffered every single day since.

Juheon doesn’t have the right to act like he’s doing Dohu a favor by “letting it go just this once.”
He left first. He ran first. And now he’s angry that the person he walked away from is still there?

Both of them are need healing , Dohu has been facing the consequences for years,
while Juheon has been running from them
