Tbh. The emperor is actually keeping it for himself . He was in a relationship with ML’s mother (kinda one sided, since the ML’s mother was only with him cause he looks identical to the previous emperor). He loved her and he can’t forget about her, even the ML told him that the emperor should let his feelings go since the ML’s mother is dead and gone.
I wish he would just tell her why he wants to keep the urn. She’s being feral (more than she already is) because she’s crazy jealous about Letina. If she knew that he’s keeping it for ML, maybe she’ll be reasonable about it? Idk, it was already established she’s batshit crazy, why does he try to agitate her. I’m not trying to justify her but I feel like he should be smarter in dealing with the devil incarnate is he wants to escape and survive.
