trust me everyone had this same experience and don't worry you will be satisfied soon enough!! I really recommend reading the novel- it's not too long, easy to read, and it has side stories which make you even more satisfied on wooyeon's behalf!! dohyun's pov does get shown towards the end of the novel, and it's literally pivotal and beautiful and changes the narrative!
LOL I meant related to your question if wooyeon didn't go looking for him! it's not really a spoiler because it was talked about a bit in the first chapter but basically it's the age gap and dohyun talks about it a few times in the novel- he really sees wooyeon as way younger than him but I think it's because he saw him while he was still a minor and in korean culture they're particular about ages so because he already completed his military service and about to graduate and enter adulthood (military really matures them) and wooyeon just became a college freshman that's pretty sheltered, he feels guilty in a way of being a cradle robber essentially; they make that joke in chapter 17 when his sunbaes see him! that, and something else that's kinda the climax, makes him feel guilty towards wooyeon in many ways- his pov reveals more but basically, he doesn't wanna be an immoral dude

A genuine question
Do you think they will be together if wooyeon did not go look for him? I mean their re-encounter is pretty much wooyeon returning for dohyun. And dohyun is really just "passive" right now. I must say just reacting to whatever wooyeon is doing/saying.
It's just that I felt it is wooyeon who is only desperate and dohyun is just okay with or without him. If that makes sense.
