Richard comforts her, then courtney asks about the reason he wasn't there to help her in the first place. He makes a bad choice and decides to "tease" courtney by saying it was nothing- just a previous fiancé (it was a teenage engagement that wasn't official at all- his aim is to get her riled up so that he gets punished), but she gets really mad and closed off. she ends up fingering him on the balcony whilst still being mad.
