I actually suspect the story will end up going that way. When you consider that the MC can heal his illness with her holy power, odds she won’t do that seem low.
Otherwise, why was he included in the story at all? The author could just make the empress’s son the only one in line for the throne, which is basically true now. Since the third son’s a bastard, him not being considered for the throne would stay the same, with or without the first prince. The first prince, existing at all, only has a purpose if he’s healed later.
Am I the only one who want thrê first prince to be the emperor?
I know that being a good rural does not depend on someone birth origin but still is the first prince with the noble heritage the same as the third whose mother was a maid and spend his entire childhood in the street
