Sigh... I have a lot of difficulty understanding some of the behaviors shown in BL, for example: MC says he's disgusted and would vomit upon smelling alpha pheromones (I know the couple will end up together), but I would really like that to happen, especially if ML insists a lot.
I was ecstatic when MC handcuffed ML at the hospital, and even now, after the harassment, I expected a stronger reaction from MC, but no, he simply accepts having his personal space easily invaded. For someone who, a few chapters ago, was complaining about the harassment, now he "accepts" sitting next to the abuser and being close to him as if nothing had happened, and what's even more disturbing is the fact that MC is a police officer and simply ignores the fact that he was drugged and abused, as if these behaviors were normal.
I know these stories are fiction and fantasy, but I think a little bit of reality wouldn't hurt, especially in these contexts. The art is beautiful, but there are times when I feel it's being wasted on stories involving blackmail, coercion, and harassment. There are many ways to bring two characters together, and I don't understand why authors insist on using the worst methods just because they're trendy; it's disappointing.
