I dont think I can really put my emotions for this story into words but gosh is it heavy. I teared up a lot, I just hope the kannagi’s find peace and they’ll stop being taken advantage of. Learning of their history of abuse and rape, especially as children made me ill to my stomach and teary eyed. The characters are beautifully written, my discomfort is really work of this author doing a good job at selling the disparity of these poor individuals and the corrupt system they’ve been facing. I look forward to a hopeful and happy ending where they’ll no longer suffer and get to heal from the past, where no more kannagi’s will face being beaten, raped and trapped all alone to fight monsters cold and afraid.
