I hate the trope where they go to the villain and they're like "I'll do my best to make sure I win your favor/approval one day" or some shit like that. IDGAF that they were friends for a long time.. hes the one who refused to tell him? and LIED? and instead of putting a boundary or just doing ANYTHING NORMAL he had to do that instead. I DON'T CARE that he had these feelings for a long time. hes had all that time to figure out what to do, and he decided to talk about it right when he was trying to ruin this guys relationship.
