All gods start off as demigods who lose their mortal emotional memories when they ascend into full godhood. This happens as law of divinity to ensure a god is free of anything that'll tie them to mortality and make sure that they have an impartial omnipresence as deity with perfect body n perfect mind and no attachment or ties. Gods are supposed to be complete immortal beings.
Osiris is talking abt their time back when seth and the rest were demigods. Hes suggesting that him n seth were lovers who promised e/o to themselves but seth ascended n forgot it. ( which acc to me is BULLSHIT) ahem, there might be tho, some truth to it so for now we can take his words with a grain of salt but there are multiple past life theories abt what mightve happened and abt their lives. There's also a theory of seth n horus being past life lovers or having a close relationship with horus being the youngest ennead sibling before he was killed and reborn as nephew horus in this life..
