It's because it's still in pre-war arc, it's the process going forward, but once the war happens all shits are going to happen you're gonna lose sleep, at least that's what happened to me reading the novel, idk if you read the novel, or seen any spoiler but if you hadn't I recommend reading the novel, or spoil yourself in some fanarts in Pinterest for good motivation! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

Nah, no one's going to die, the only sad parts are their past and trauma experiences that are written in the novel, but I'm not sure on book 2, it's still on going, if someone dies, even just one, I'll probably ain't gonna recover, if you want some spoilers, ask away (≧∀≦)
