I wish he would talk to his brother as he did to his bf - just laying it all out on the table and talk it through.
yeah me too. i get they were both fucked up over their parents upbringing, but he could try and reach out to his brother and listen to what he has to say. not saying that the older brother shouldn't also do a better job explaining himself, but he doesn't know why he pulled away, he doesn't know he heard what he said so its hard to make amends. it's just a sad situation all around.
his brother was trying to protect him in a really dumb way, but in a way it would work on their parents, and he overheard it...that's so fucking sad. he was trying to avoid him getting bogged down by their parents expectations and it backfired. this is heartbreaking, i feel so sad for the brother now :(
