There’s a misunderstanding incoming.
I can feel it! Yigon would be minutes away from forgiving Taekang and there will be a revelation (real or fake) that solidifies that Taekang is not changing, hence, Yigon betrays Taekang by doing what his brother ordered him to do. Taekang will forgive Yigon because he knows he was just scared and Yigon realizes the truth of the situation and that Taekang truly regrets his actions and finally gives him a second chance.
This is just my prediction because Yigon actually contemplating feels like a build up towards a bait and switch that will finally get Taekang groveling.
