bro seeing it again in the manhwa i really hate the way the autor nerfed taekjoo in all his survival skills esp situational assessment and judgement for the sake of keeping him there. he’s been so damn reckless thought this entire arc it’s almost out of character. him not being able to shoot all of a sudden and loosing all his critical thinking skills he possessed from the beginning. all through the window…if the author didn’t nerf my goat he would been outta there within 24hrs smh.

Dude I think he's just tired and desperate. People become reckless when theres literally no paths moving forward. At this point he just taking any chance he gets.

idk man..taekjoo is a damn special agent this situation should be the least stressful thing he must’ve faced he is trained and built to be able to think and focus under highly pressure situations like this or 10x worse This should be a damn walk in the park for him. sure things are tight as is with zhenya of all people being the obstacle but at least he should make clear cut decisions anyone who hasnt read the novel will obv look down on him and everything he has to offer because of how he presented himself here

I don't think its the high pressure wearing him down, its time. At this point in time he's exhausted all possible and rational escape routes. The more time he spends alone and with Zenya wearing him down even further, he's desperate to try anything and everything to escape even if the odds are zero and reckless as heck. Wasn't there a chapter where he couldn't even find food in the mansion? He's not even eating healthy unless zenya is there. Special agent or nah, he's still human and overtime this entire thing is draining him physically and mentally. He is not top condition to begin with. All he's been left to do is throw a bone at zenya and hope he takes the bait. But even that is because zenya allows this to happen because to him taekjoo is just his lil toy. So unless some external force happens to intervene taekjoo is stuck in this cycle of hope and despair until it basically breaks him

I read the novel. And I look down on both the manhwa and the novel. Idk how people call this peak storytelling because I Taekjoo's character downgraded after the first season. Even Jeong Lee Won would have better survival skills than him in this kinda situation.

Exactly. It isn’t until that external force arrives that he snaps out of his funk.
Ota alluded it’s been a while since he’s been isolated. Isolation does things to your brain.
