I think both mc and ml needs to part ways, ml clearly needs to remember that mc was assaulted. Personally mc doesn’t deserve ml, because ml doesn’t want to treat mc the way mc wants to be treated, and ml doesn’t deserve mc because of everything he said to him. He was a victim to assault and addiction and didnt get the help that he needed, it’s hard to see the ml as the ml and it’s also hard to blame the mc, I hope they both end with closure!
