All of his foolish and desperate decisions did happen in the novel but you are able to read into why he does things. At the end you're at least able to say damn he put up a good fight and tried. Now in the manhwa he feels more goofy than usual because of how much is cut out and you feel less bad when he fails

The pacing of the earlier chapters were fine, you cannot adapt everything the same way and I get that, but lately I feel like it's going TOO fast. I get cutting out most of the violent stuff though but all of his planning and failures didn't happen this quickly or am I misremembering?
