i don't have any qualms with this morally even if child marriage is objectively wrong because in historical fantasy settings like this, it's common. there's no grooming and all the love mc felt for ml as a child was platonic/that of a caregiver or protector. im sure we'll soon get chaps of mc feeling all messed up and bad later when he starts to fall in love w ml.
