They've been abused & manipulated basically from birth. I believe there's a statistic that says on average it takes a victim 4-7 times to leave their abuser for good. So it's realistic in that even if it's frustrating seeing them "willingly" be hurt again. Miwa esp was sheltered & kept uneducated :
