i think if ppl are confused ab their sibling dynamic, you should reread some chapters (34, 35, 48, 49) cus it’s been heavily implied what the hyung’s intentions are and why his sibling rs with seunghyeon has been damaged… he spent a lot of time trying to protect sh from the pressures of success that their parents inflicted onto him and he ended up unknowingly projecting his own trauma onto sh, hence why he’s so controlling over sh’s life… sh felt caged, esp bc he was always compared to his hyung, and they encountered many misunderstandings when they were younger which is partly why their sibling rs is so complicated. through hyung’s way of trying to ‘protect’ sh, hyung ended up becoming really lonely & isolated. the only family he has is his dongsaeng (seunghyeon) and he’s tightly clinging onto him bc hyung hasn’t felt genuine familial love outside of sh… tbh, i’m predicting hyung prob strived hard in med school so both him and sh could escape their family tgt, but sh really just wants to be his own person and find his own version success without being influenced by anyone else. :( that’s honestly why i feel so conflicted by hyung’s character cus anyone with a sibling (esp if they’re the oldest in the family) could understand why he’s like that T_T i’m soooooo curious how it connects with chaejun’s trauma tho bc i feel like the author will address it soon now that chaejun and hyung are prob gna interact a lot more within the next few chapters
