The point of the the story is they’re both idiots and assholes

Incheol didnt even consent. He didnt choose to be raped by pyeongwha, he shook his head and didnt want him to but pyeongwha just shoved it in there. He didnt choose to be raped for his work. it was noncon that turned, very arguably, dubcon.

And there were people outside, who could hear or see them if he reacted. So incheol couldnt really do anything and pyeongwha knew that and thats why he chose to take advantage of him at that moment specifically

I agree with you, there’s a lot of gray areas in the situation which makes sense and creates a more complex plot, the author interpreted it well. Incheol just puked out his remaining self, his identity, his ability to decide for some recognition from his employer.

This chapter is definitely a hard read. It’s rape, even in fiction it does still does make us uncomfortable.

This isn’t the argument people are making. People are talking about the nuances and yet you are seeing it as black or white. Literally nobody reading this is expecting sunshine and rainbows. At most, people were expecting dubcon, so when noncon reared its ugly head, people are rightfully disturbed, because the content is disturbing. Its really not hard to understand. People are reacting to content made to react to. If that upsets you so much that people are talking about the nuance of this story and the content within it, im not even sure what to say

the point of the story is to feel uncomfortable with what is happening, that is the point of any story to make you feel something, but people instantly reacting with OMG im dropping this or saying the story now sucks because there is rape in it doesn’t make sense to me, it is literally a part of the plot
