kind of... technically, they're supposed to both be into each other even now but supposedly they only realise it later. I forgot if they explicitly confessed or not. I remember MC running away for a brief second and ML coming after him. MC and ML were both in a near death situation and after that pretty much everything was forgotten. Authors love to go for redeeming toxic asshole ML by making him save MC and somehow that overrides everything that happened prior
I swear I consider it so bad written when shit like this happen bc it's too easy. Like it doesn't bring anything to the story. Even sometimes I have a hard time accepting redemption arc(depends on the story and characters) but without one it's basically reading something without any meaning
Like there's literally no purpose?? Just random shit put together for a shity plot ....
I read the novel, so spoilers ahead…

They both have always loved each other hard from the beginning. MC had communication issues/avoidant tendencies while ML is psychopathic and doesn’t understand he’s in love. MC eventually grows a backbone. ML doesn’t necessarily have a redemption arc but I think he did acknowledge he messed up their relationship, confessed his feelings, and basically had to beg for MC back. They clear up misunderstandings/communication issues eventually. SA stuff def swept under the rug. By the end, they’re definitely more domestic and consensual. MC has more of a reign on ML, but he’s still lowkey psychopathic and I think at some point in the novel he acknowledges that.

is this good? should i read it?
